Admit it. You can't only have one project going at a time. I think right now I have at least 5 in progress. And then many more than that in my head that I want to do when I get one of these done!
The question is, how do you juggle working on so many projects at a time?
Well, here is how I do it.
First, if I have a project that someone is paying me to do, I try to get that done as quickly as I can. I want to make sure that person is taken care of as quickly as possible so that they come back in the future. Also, if I'm trying to make something for my son, I always seem to get that done first too. He loves when I make him something special!
Then, I work on gifts that I'm making for friends and family. Depending on when I need to give the gift is how I determine which one to work on. In fact, I have 2 blankets in progress right now that I need to finish off by this weekend for my nieces' birthday.
Last, I work on things for myself. Unfortunately, this rarely gets done because I just love making things for friends and family so much! I have yarn and patterns picked out to make myself multiple things, I just have never got around to it. One day I'll make the time and crochet myself that sweater or blanket :)
This is how I juggle my many crochet projects that I have going, because I can't ever only have one going at a time.
How do you juggle your projects?
Yep. that sounds very familiar. Deadline and commission knitting come first, then gifts, and then stuff for myself.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I try and always take a few minutes each day to work on stuff for myself. Even if it's just a row here and there. :)
